Theatre of Magic Pinball Machine by Bally was manufactured in 1995 . This game was designed by John Popadiuk and features many of his design staples such as magnets, a bash toy, and elaborate ramps.
“Theatre of Magic Pinball Machine will intrique and amaze players of every level. But don’t be fooled. Like the best magic illusions, Theatre of Magic only looks easy.”
Objective:
- Perform eight different magic tricks
- Complete a rather simple wizard mode.
- Spell “Theatre”
- Advance the clock to Midnight Madness – (not to be confused with the midnight madness featured in some other Bally/WMS games), as well as a video mode featuring a virtual pinball game.
Game Play: (From the Original Flyer)
Presto!
The Spirit Ring levitates pinballs and alters their course from one staircase to another.
Poof!
The Magician’s Trunk holds a multitude of secret powers, and player’s attention. It spins, levitates pinballs and captures them for multi-ball play.
Voila!
Enter the Theatre’s haunted basement by shooting balls into the trap door. At the start of multi-ball, watch pinballs rise from the basement.
Ta-Daaa!
DigiPin is just one of many surprises players will find deep inside the haunted basement.
